Embark on a Study Tour to delve into The Riverside School's ecosystem, encompassing its philosophy, culture, and the innovative HumanE™ Curriculum as the pioneering I CAN SCHOOL. RLC provides immersive experiences, spanning from single-day sessions to comprehensive 3-day programs, enabling participants to actively participate in and understand Riverside's distinctive practices and processes.

    Day 1


    8:00 - 9:15 :

    Welcome, Introductions and sharing the Agenda for the day

    9:15 - 9:45 :

    Big Rocks workshop: Explore the concept of ‘choices’ and decision-making in leadership in service of the vision.

    9:50 - 10:05 :

    School Tour: Gain insight into ‘unseen leadership’ and the actions that bring leadership choices to light within a setting.

    10:05 - 10:35 :

    Snacks and Tea Break

    10:35 - 11:25 :

    Classroom Observation: Observe a class session at Riverside and observe our innovative pedagogy in action.

    11:30 - 12:00 :

    Debrief of School Tour and Classroom Observation: Participants reflect on the experience and share their key takeaways and learning.

    12:00 - 12:30 :

    Introducing the Riverside I CAN approach to education: We share the Riverside origin story, what it means to be a design-led school and our unique 6 pillar framework

    12:30 - 1:00 :

    Reflection & Closing the Loop: Reflect on the day and see how the Riverside experience has shifted the mind, explore questions, and identify key takeaways.

    9:00 - 9:15 :

    Welcome and Unpacking the Agenda

    9:15 - 9:45 :

    Koffee with a School Leader: Open question and answer session with one of the school leaders at Riverside

    9:45 - 10:15 :

    Design Thinking Workshop: We share the unique FIDS (Feel, Imagine, Do, Share) Framework at Riverside and how we use it to make decisions

    10:15 - 10:45 :

    Snacks and Tea Break

    10:45 - 11:45 :

    Assessment workshop: We share the Identity Curriculum and share the many ways in which students are evaluated at Riverside - so they go from being merely markable to being remarkable.

    11:45 - 12:15 :

    Stakeholder Meeting: School Leaders and Teachers come for a open panel discussion where participants can ask questions and gain insight and an understanding of the I CAN school culture and its impact on stakeholders.

    12:15 - 12:30 :

    Presentation: RLC’s I CAN Platform: Introduce participants to the work done by the Riverside Learning Center, the I CAN Platform and our offerings.

    12:30 - 1:00 :

    Reflection & Closing the Loop: Reflect on the day and see how the Riverside experience has shifted the mind, explore questions, and identify key takeaways.
